This comes from the apparent fact that ICE agents are instructed to accuse people they assault of violent conduct against them, apparently as a justification for their violence, or to deflect claims. The dishonesty of ICE and its leadership is breathtaking.
Same thing happened in LA, same thing happened in DC: prosecutors charged people with assaulting a federal officer and then furiously backpedaled when the evidence didn’t support it
