In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

They can issue JOINT health guidance, they can buy up supplies of needed vaccines, etc... [just on the health front]. Hire all of the excellent people who are resigning.
I said this months ago but I really need a BLUE STATE COMPACT IMMEDIATELY. Bring together all health depts, all education depts, etc... under one umbrella. Collectivize guidance, ensure that disabled students get what they need, etc... An emergency meeting of all Blue State Governors is overdue.

<div class="field field-field-text"><p>The director of Gaza's al-Shifa hospital in northern Gaza, Muhammad Abu Salmiya, issued an urgent warning on Thursday about what he described as "new virus" spreading in the enclave.</p>
<p>"Symptoms of the virus include a high body temperature, joint pain, a runny nose, and a cough accompanied by bouts of diarrhea lasting more than a week," Abu Salmiya said in a statement.</p>
<p>"We do not have tests to determine the cause of the virus," he added, but its spread is linked to "a lack of immunity resulting from malnutrition, in addition to the lack of clean water and cleaning materials, and the overcrowding of people in tents". </p>
<p>"The new virus is exacerbating the pressure on the exhausted health system," Abu Salmiya said.</p>
