The perfect encapsulation of the hollow, opportunistic nature of corporate DEI. It was all symbolic, purely focused on representation, and not grounded in any real practice of diversity, equity, and inclusion. It was a branding tactic, and as soon as it became inconvenient, it was dropped.

Um, well leaving aside the fact you never asked how we could fund the $360 billion Aukus debacle…we could scrap the $14 billion per year in fossil fuel subsidies, abolish the 50% capital gain at tax discount or stop giving away more than half of the gas we export FOR FREE. There, fixed it!
