I am (self-evidently) very interested in language. And also in technology. From that perspective, the rise of LLMs has created many new things for me to think about.
One is: why is it that certain very small clusters of words are *clearly written by an LLM*? What is the quality of that writing?

somehow the quality of small clusters of LLM-generated words is this disintegration. words that ought to be working together are instead not even fighting each other (fighting is interesting) but coming apart in your hands like a cheaply-made toy.

This fits perfectly, as the default aesthetic of #AIslop already owes a lot to Kinkade: If you look at algorithmically curated databases used to fine-tune AI models such as «LAION aesthetics,» you'll find Kinkade's paintings ranked higher than almost anything else in terms of «aesthetic score»
