Put me down as optimistic about the heat death of the digital universe under the infinite bullshit scatter of AI. We'll return to live arts, local communities, non-anonymous or closed web forums, and trusted information sources. The internet hasn't been fun for at least a decade anyway.
We'll never be free from AI paranoia, so as long as the burden of detective work keeps falling to the masses

ok it is actually too good that the white censorship committee not only disqualified someone for going to Nepal (which they thought was Tibet) but also the actual winner of Best Novel _had_ gone to Tibet and no one on the WCC even noticed (fortunately.) Nor did this matter in the least!

Easy to say with Biden as President but what happens if Trump wins and the Rs pick up a few Senate seats? It only takes 34 Republican legislatures to call a new Constitutional Convention. Republican secession is how we never have to deal with a Republican POTUS, SCOTUS, or Congress again.
