Post-prohibition strategy, writing, &c. at maps.org to change everything about how we think about drugs and people who use them.
I'm humbled by -- and grateful for -- the support Ismail and I received from the team and community with this news. And honestly, I couldn't ask for a better partner in this evolution of the work than Izzy.

Congrats to these authors for coining "the Musk illusion," forcing countless future researchers to the thesaurus as they uncover modern fallacies and delusions.
The human brain is sometimes called the most complex machine in the universe - but we wildly overestimate it. It outputs thoughts at a ridiculously slow 10 bits per second, and all the knowledge it can store could fit on a small thumb drive.

I just had to go on that other platform to monitor some breaking news, and listen, I know you've been telling me it's gotten real bad, but how does one prepare oneself for that? It's a mess, y'all.

My colleagues see gaps between established scientific knowledge and community wisdom, then engage in years-long disputes with the FDA to remove barriers to research. From now on, research on cannabis' potential benefits will be allowed to mirror real-world use...creating real-world useful data.
After more than three years of tireless effort and five rounds of pushback from FDA, MAPS has won a Formal Dispute Resolution Request (FDRR) with the FDA’s Division of Psychiatry.

I'll be spending the next 6 days helping people cure their ballots...how about you?
In Nevada, the GOP is succeeding in throwing out the votes of thousands of young people. If you're in Clark or Washoe county, answer your phone tonight. It may be election officials, calling to cure the defect in your mailed-in ballot.

What's your preferred non-judgemental term to describe drug use by people in an undesired relationship with drugs, née "misuse" or "abuse," #HarmReduction & #DrugSky?

Looking for something person-centered that captures dependence, addiction, and high-risk use for our comms guidelines. 🙏

Trans folx, what do you wish your parents would have said to you in these moments? What do you wish your cis friends parents would have said to them?

I've had a couple convos with parents grasping for how to talk to their kids today, so if you have a little energy to answer, they'll appreciate it.

Huge news lost in the shuffle yesterday - the US Vets Adm will start funding psychedelics research for PTSD! Which brings me to these incredible pages from @jedmackay.bsky.social + Pasqual Ferry + Heather Moore from Doctor Strange #10 (2023). I live with PTSD - these pages brought me to tears.
