For new followers, I am:

- a lifelong Orioles fan.

-a fair to middlin’ crossword solver who goes to tournaments.

- a certified Zentangle teacher (it’s an art form)

- an avid reader.

I binge-watch shows and movies that everyone else saw years ago.

And I lost on Jeopardy.

Honestly very impressed by Newsmax, the Washington Times, and the Washington Examiner.

They deserve credit precisely because they’re standing up for journalistic principle notwithstanding their ideological inclination.
Solidarity is the only way

An August 2025 analysis found that 65% of people taken into ICE detention in fiscal year 2025 had no criminal convictions.

The same analysis indicated that over 93% of those booked into detention had NO conviction for a violent offense.

The criminal is HIM.

I have never seen so many public servants protest the mismanagement of a government. Trumpists will point to this as proof of the deep state, but the reality is that these are professionals who are desperately trying to get the public to understand how bad things are.

Another ICE "assault" case unravels. Border Patrol and ICE are arresting US citizens and then after they find out that they are US citizens, they are charging them with "assault" to justify their actions. This is clearly DHS policy at this point. We've seen it repeatedly now.

1. Trump's megabill will slash nutrition assistance for poor families, cause 17 million people to lose their health insurance, and add over $3 trillion to the deficit -- all to finance tax cuts for the rich.

IN THIS THREAD, I WILL LIST THE COMPANIES THAT PUBLICLY SUPPORTED THIS BILL.

American Police State: Congress has just authorized $170B for ICE (not $37.5B), more than the ENTIRE NATIONAL DEFENSE BUDGET for every country on the planet except China.🤮

Spot on. This is the clearest explanation I’ve seen. It ‘s relatable, and humanizes the issue in a way everyone can understand.

The sonsofbitches hiding behind masks while arresting and incarcerating our neighbors are the exact same people who wouldn't wear them during the pandemic to protect their grandparents.

Thou shalt not joke about how you sent an innocent father of 3 to a gulag while his autistic son smells his shirts to remember him.
