The hospital in Georgia didn’t “save a life”

They had that chance when Adriana Smith sought medical care. They could have saved her & her fetus.

What they did was carry out a medical experiment without consent.

They failed her in life & then robbed her of dignity in death 🧵

Misogynoir killed Adriana Smith. She was unable to get the emergency care she needed for a life threatening brain bleed.

Now they’re experimenting on her by forcing her body to be an incubator for her fetus.

This article waives away Smith’s right to dignity like it’s absolutely nothing
The Atlantic should be ashamed of publishing this nightmare piece from Liz Bruenig, whose callous dismissal of Adriana Smith's dignity is one of the most shocking things I've ever read.

Bringing back an old article in light of the No Kings protester who was arrested for masking:
North Carolina Passes HB 237 and Bans Medical Masks in Public
This discriminatory and ableist bill puts lives at risk and further isolates vulnerable people from society. It's pandering to anti-maskers who seek to punish disabled and high risk individuals.

This is why disabled people have been begging you to mask up for years.

This is why we’ve said that mask bans pose a threat to our survival.

This is why we don’t want folks to say ICE agents are “wearing masks”.

Society is being conditioned to see masking as “bad”.

It will kill us.
