Btw, why the western analytical community and the Pentagon, etc, are all trying to say Ukraine’s big problem is that they have not drafted all their people and sent them to the front, is because they are trying to shift responsibility away from their own terrible failures.

The CBS investigation portrays a modern concentration camp, similar to the Soviet GULAG (like CECOT, an acronym): sadistic guards, 24 hour lighting, isolation cells.
Americans once opposed this inhumane system.
The Trump administration sent innocent people there to suffer.

As a historian I've looked at hundreds of thousands of pages of government documents. And I just have to say that aside from being obviously illegal and clearly suggestive of some major crime, this “redaction” business is not a position in which serious people or serious governments find themselves
There is no basis to withhold these images under the clear terms of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. None.
WOW: The DOJ has DELETED an image from its release of the Epstein files that shows photos of Trump in a drawer.

Yesterday, we noted that this image — file 468 — likely slipped through the cracks while officials were attempting to hide materials pertaining to Trump.

Now, it’s gone.

A tempting mark—why is Trump behaving in ways that benefit Moscow?
Moscow appears to have used these vulnerabilities to influence Donald Trump, and, unfortunately, has done so with considerable success

It's time to let go of the extremely pernicious and extremely delusional view that Ru is a security maximizer driven by worries about its own security. It's driven entirely by imperialist expansionism. They say it every day, their actions demonstrate it every day.
Anyone complaining about European rearmament as escalatory simply doesn’t understand Ru. Ru invades the unarmed and the neutral (Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine). It hasn’t dared invade a NATO member, no matter how small. If Ru does attack NATO, it will be because it perceives its members as unprepared.

This ensures that up to €210 billion in Russian funds stay on EU soil, unless Russia fully pays reparations to Ukraine for the damage it has caused. (1/2)

Europe needs to finally seize the initiative and stop wasting time trying to manage Trump. If Europeans themselves drive the agenda, together with Ukraine, they will not constantly be caught off guard and need to manage yet another crisis
The new US National Security Strategy, in its predictable and characteristic ugliness, is a good occasion for Europe to finally let go of the time-consuming transatlantic crisis management efforts and start focusing on a proper and proactive own strategy instead.
Europe Needs A New Strategy Too
The new US National Security Strategy helps - or forces - European leaders to let go of the consuming transatlantic crisis management efforts and to focus on an own strategy instead.
