Fear Is The Mind Killer

It's not the heat, it's the stupidity!
If you post online you post in real life
and it's showing up in the real world...not just online
new: people across Wisconsin are increasingly standing up to AI data centers. at the old Foxconn site, citizens are thankful for Microsoft, but they said no to a new Microsoft data center 20 miles away. worries range from a loss of open land to meager tax payments www.cnbc.com/2025/11/25/m...

What many men do not understand, because they’re timid conformists whose concern about the opinion of their peers would put teenage girls to shame, is that breaking other men’s rules gives you power over them

Doctors offices should default to news but it's always PBS or something. I get that kids exist but these songs make me want to die.

Generally I would assume working on sewers sucks, so I appreciate the 'fun' attitude here.

Maybe we should just ask LLMs what sentience and intelligence is, since we can't seem to figure shit out

Is there any general consensus on an MCP server for general OS stuff; read write files, getting tools, etc?

There are obviously a million of these tools so probably only need one

I just like the idea that any tech based presentation use 'localhost' not 'hosted by' or some shit - but the rule is, if someone doesnt get it you must not explain it to them.
MAKING ROBOTS IS GOOD (& good for you)

Michael Suguitan came to RC and presented on a series of robots, from a cat-detector, to a self-strumming guitar, to a robot used in research and schools around the world.

He goes not just into the how, but the why behind making. ⬇️

Over human history people have *made* words to describe increasingly granular aspects of 'reality'. What id be curious to know: how many of these wordsmiths actively thought about the fact that they were trying to pin a reality fragment to a word, versus it just happening spontaneously.

So far in just my chat interactions with Gemini 3, I will say - definitely liking it. At some point vibes aren't a great benchmark, but im not retyping or clarifying much; it understands what I'm asking and has been pretty good at addressing that, exactly. Which is nice.

12tb badblocks were about halfway done this morning... So soon the power server will be born.

As a side note, I gotta say I do already love the supermicro design much more than the 'retiring' server
