SERIOUSLY as long as we as a society look at the only true redemption being in death, we're never going to fix things. There will never be a path to de-escalation and reintegration to a community until we know it can be done. Yes, people need to atone for wrongdoing and be truly repentant.
Excuse me, Hollywood Reporter, but it does nottt "go against his sacrifice" to allow him to live beyond his "redemptive act." The intent, meaning & significance of his actions are STILL fully intact. *HE* didn't know he'd survive it, & that's all that counts. Redemption doesn't have to end in death.
You could almost call it the Rise of Solo. Or maybe A New New Hope.
