It was only 5 months ago that Trump said he would only go after the worst of the worst. Now they are disappearing people including U.S. citizens. Next they want to create a national database of citizens. Will states send back individual voting data?

If anyone thinks they are safe, they are wrong.

Huge increases in ICE spending provides the fuel for Trump to fulfill his promise to go after cities run by Democrats, to do what he has done to LA, with less need to rely on the military. The new funding allows Trump to create a Department of Domestic Military Enforcement.

Warnock: A budget is not just a fiscal document. A budget is a moral document. Show me your budget and I'll show you who you think matters and who doesn't. And if this awful budget were an EKG, it would suggest that our nation has a heart problem and is in need of moral surgery

This is not about "left" vs "right" anymore — and it hasn't been for a long time.

The oligarchy feels safer if people split along the old “left” vs.“right” battle lines, so they won’t notice they’re being shafted and won't join together to fight back.
"We fear that if this bill passes, a village in rural Alaska might lose its one-and-only grocery store because of a drastic decline in SNAP dollars. It might also lose its sole health care clinic or hospital because it cannot sustain its services with decreased Medicaid reimbursements."
“The likely impacts from the ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ are particularly ugly for our home state, Alaska,” write Bryce Edgmon and Cathy Giessel, two state lawmakers. “The bill being rushed through Congress is based on a one-size-fits-all approach that does not reflect these realities on the ground.”
