So, of trans children starting HRT, more than 98% stay on it, and of the small fraction that don't, over half identify as nonbinary. Less than 1% go “nah, turns out I'm cis.” From an N of four fucking hundred. Why the hell are we making children run a gauntlet? Some asshole's political career?
A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.
It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.
It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... & of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.
Trans care saves lives.

Tip for my cis friends: if you want to chat with a trans woman (perfectly fine) don’t say just “hello” and leave it at that. We get lots of that crap and they’re usually creepy chasers. Introduce yourself. Speak your business. Say why you said hello. One word is not enough. We’ll ignore you. #trans
