The Laplacian is the cruelest of all the mathematical symbols. Like, ∇f(x, y) = df/dx i + df/dy j and ∇•f = df/dx + df/dy, but then suddenly ∇²f = d²f/dx² + d²f/dy²? Why not write ∇²f as ∇²•f? Ugh

Hey I just watched end of evangelion. How am I supposed to go to class tomorrow after seeing that? That felt more like an intense therapy session than a movie.

Man, people in the air force really do have it easy. All they do is just sit around and fly planes, and then when pilots retire, they can just become UFO grifters.

I love cruising Vixra to read the cosmology section—it's like a free, infinite source of comedy, which is pretty darn close to what the people posting "papers" on there want.

NIST has to deal with budget cuts on top of having all of its buildings crumbling—the neutron center reactor meltdown a few years ago should have been a wakeup call, but instead it too gets hit with budget cuts. I guess this should have been expected now that covid is artificially deemed "over."

NIST has to deal with budget cuts on top of having all of its buildings crumbling—the neutron center reactor meltdown a few years ago should have been a wakeup call, but instead it too gets hit with budget cuts. I guess this should have been expected now that covid is artificially deemed "over."
