Q for those w experience in politics or diplomacy:

Is there *any* other example of a US prez, on US soil, letting a foreign leader control the mic for a very long time, in his own language, w/o consecutive translation, before letting US prez say anything all?

I don't know of any.

Humiliating.

Trump’s America on full garish display: #Medicaid cuts, billionaire tax breaks, weapons freezes for #Ukraine, climate data erased, all under a convicted felon president who’s too busy hoarding gold to care if the planet burns.

But #Wisconsin just won on abortion.

If Stephen Miller can lie about Abrego Garcia and his case on national TV, he can do it in federal court under oath. Judge Xinis should demand his appearance, question him under oath, then jail him for Contempt when he commits Perjury.

This lawless administration has to be subjected to rule of law.

What did America's largest corporations do with their spoils from Trump's tax scam? Between 2017 and 2022:

-Stock buybacks jumped 98%
-Dividends increased by 40%
-Meanwhile, wages only grew by 14%

In some years these corporations paid their CEOs more than they paid in taxes.

The GOP talking point today is:

"It's going to take unconventional methods to get us out of the mess we've been in the past 4 years"

"The mess"
- booming stock markets
- unprecedented job growth
- strong GDP
- wage growth
- plateauing inflation
- strong allies & trading partners
- a sane POTUS

This is simply incredible:
Christiane Amanpour said reports indicate that the Trump regime reached out to opposition leaders in Ukraine to try to get them to challenge Zelensky, and they said no.
This is election interference at best - like trying to start a coup! He is following Putin’s playbook!

There it is. Raskin always on point.

Trump and Musk are so anti-American and reckless they've got Americans rooting for Canada, Norway and Ukraine.

Congrats, MAGA. Brilliant stuff.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

Boycotts have a long and remarkably successful history in the US, and the middle class that Trump seems determined to destroy has the whip hand as far as the viability of most (though not all) products is concerned.
