A charter board member’s personal lawyer threatened me once for allegedly recording her in an interview after a public meeting. Which is completely legal and, less important, - I wasn’t recording.

The board eventually voted to accept the $1.5 million "unrestricted" ... which the prospective donor says was not the offer on the table.

Some legal analysis above my pay grade will be involved to say the least.
In furtherance of the tone of this story, the Orleans Parish School Board voted to defer a decision on Leah Chase School until early January.

It was a top 10 wild, but not the wildest, meeting. $1.5 million donation IF the board voted to keep the school open.
