Even though its not outright stated, the character Tony in Earthbound WAS written as a gay character. This was confirmed by Shigesato Itoi himself, the creator of the Earthbound/Mother series.
Literally did it because gay people exist in real life, and so should exist in games as well.

I want the Zelda live action movie to be SLOW PACED and OFTENTIMES PEACEFUL and lots of scenes of Hyrule reminiscent of ANY forest scene from Princess Mononoke.
I want a modern day fairy tale. Something that prioritizes magic and wonder over gritty action scenes.
