If only the government had acted earlier to let an unqualified, politically appointed anti-semitism Czar police the thoughts of university campuses, the government could have .. <checks notes> .. persuaded a father/son IS terrorist cell from terroristing.

Are we really going there?

Yeah but just remember who owns most of Australia's commercial media. It's #FuckingMurdoch
A colleague turned on the radio at work after the Bondi shooting and I could hear the erections of the journalists straining against their pants; they were so fucking excited knowing they didn't have to work for the next week. Just gin up outrage and hatred and let the ratings pour in.Fucking sickos
I've never been more convinced Australia has the worst mainstream journalists in the world. Simple, thick, racist, ahistorical, bootlicking dipshits that lie and screech more than they think and feel. This weaponisation of a tragedy against anti-genocide voices is grotesque.

All the charm of someone gatecrashing a funeral to hand out business cards. No surprise at all that his performance was career move.
A man who has abjectedly failed the test of leadership at the first hurdle.

In the past, trying to revive your political career off the back of a massacre might be viewed as tasteless...

And even though I wasn't there but cheered it on as I watched it on the telly, I was obviously inspiring terrorism from my sofa that day too! I'm sure to be cancelled now.
I had no idea all those nice little grey-haired old ladies from the leafy North Shore I saw on the way to the Harbour Bridge march were there to stoke hatred and inspire terrorism! They will be pretty shocked to find out, too!

Bill Clinton: “This is our responsibility.”

“We forced Ukraine to give up nuclear weapons, cruise missiles, and strategic bombers.
We promised to protect Ukraine from Russia.
We made Ukraine vulnerable.
So yes — this is our war,” said Bill Clinton.👇

The conservatives forces using the Bondi Massacre to instigate a crackdown of freedoms of speech and the right to assembly are completely disgusting.

Protesting genocide and the actions of the Netanyahu Israeli govt are not antisemitic.

Josh Frydenberg is one of the people who insists that Australia must have 'social cohesion' and then cynically uses every opportunity to undermine it
Josh Frydenberg just said these words below. And, understanding the depth of emotion at the Bondi massacre, these words are not helpful! All they do is incite violence. Rein it in, LNP.

"It's time our Prme Minister accepted personal responsibility for the deaths of 15 innocent people." #auspol

This pair of fucking hate-peddling grifters and their nauseating dog-whistling clownshow should be run clean out of town, bricks and milkshakes hurled upon their retreating, cowardly arses, for the crime of spewing opportunistic divisiveness where unity is needed. #GTFO

The Coalition still hasn’t figured out that it inhabits an echo chamber. Even up to the last second of the election they were insisting that the “silent majority” would deliver them victory. It doesn’t exist. They are at odds with half of the country.

Some 10% of the population of Sydney was at the March for Humanity on the Harbour Bridge. That was just the 10% that could make it — I was in London at the time, I know others who wanted to go but couldn’t. It is certainly an interesting political gambit to call them all terrorists.

The idea that changing a definition to include criticism of Israel as being anti-Semitic and cracking down even further on anti-genocide protests would have in any way made anyone safer is madness. That the Coalition have so comprehensively jumped to blame here is insanity. Who is this speaking to?
