"Since the 2018-19 fiscal year, the TABOR cap has increased by 39%. The cost of providing Medicaid over that period has increased much faster — about 86%, or $2.6 billion."

This is why we need TABOR 2.0; reform, not repeal. It's not 1992. Colorado needs tax laws for the 21st Century.

It’s time to retire the Labor Peace Act.

Colorado’s “Labor Peace” Act forces workers to vote twice just to organize. The second vote demands a 75% supermajority — a gift to corporations who then bring in lawyers, pressure workers, and kill the union drive.

January 6, 2021 wasn’t a “public tour.”

Officers were beaten with their own batons, crushed with riot shields, and sprayed with chemical agents at close range. Officer Brian Sicknick died after the attack.

I've been shot at. Threats don't scare me. I doubt this scares many veterans. We will continue to speak up when we see the military being abused for personal gain. As a member of the Colorado Legislature, I will not be intimidated by the Feds, no matter who is in charge.

As a veteran of the U.S. war in Iraq, I disagree with Gov. Jared Polis on Venezuela. Yes, a brutal leader was removed through a skilled military operation. But legitimacy cannot be imposed from the outside.

Happy Birthday to the US Space Force! I'm proud to have helped in its creation. As much ridicule as we took, it was time for the US to have a separate service to grow warriors who understand the threats and potential capabilities space operations can bring for defending the US.

I’ll always vote NO on using public money for private schools — including vouchers and tax breaks. Arizona is a case study in why this fails. Public schools must serve every child, including kids with disabilities. www.propublica.org/article/ariz...

Billionaires and “hundred-millionaires” shouldn’t be able to pass huge wealth tax-free to their kids. Colorado’s income tax follows the federal code, so loopholes that help the richest end up hurting schools, healthcare, public safety, and infrastructure here.

I favor an emergency redistricting ballot measure for the November 2026, election. We can't keep fighting under Queensbury Rules while MAGA punches us in the balls.
Commentary: The redistricting debate in Colorado has shifted, and some Democrats are coalescing around support for a redistricting ballot measure. Growing favor for an emergency redistricting plan invites a close look at the options.

MAGA is losing it over this video, but it’s just stating a basic truth: U.S. service members are required to refuse unlawful orders — yes, even from the President. “Just following orders” has never been a defense.

The Moms for Loonytoons had a bad election night. Every single one of their endorsed candidates nationwide lost.

The whole idea of the "M4L" was to push fringe far-right politics into the mainstream using school boards as a vehicle. But despite all that money, they've failed at their core mission.

Happy Veterans Day!

I served over 30 years in the U.S. Air Force — 20 on Active Duty and 12 as an Air Force Civilian — including six deployments and helping set up a democracy in Iraq. I’m running for the Colorado House to serve again.
