Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.

Pamela Jo Bondi has decided that none of these photos of Donald Trump with Jeffrey Epstein (or Trump's quote about Epstein) exist. If you saw them, you are instructed to forget them. Do as you are told.

Vegan, because once you know the truth about the way the animals die, the environmental issues and the benefits to your health, you can't unknow it. Remember facts do not cease to exist just because they are ignored by people

IT’S NOT TOO LATE for the government to change course. Keir Starmer is being advised to urgently pause the Government's plans to cut disability & health benefits by Parliament's work & pensions committee who say they should not go ahead without a comprehensive impact assessment

Contact your MP, NOW
I’m joining @trusselluk.bsky.social in calling on the government to rethink its cruel, shameful & completely irresponsible plan to cut benefits which will plunge 250,000 people, including 50,000 children into poverty - on its own impact analysis

This is how you can help

Just for the idiots in the back Nigel Farage will get rid of the NHS, he WONT cut your taxes, and you will have to pay £10,000 a year just to have the option of paying 10x what healthcare costs to get it.

Everyone else can die at home like they did before 1946.

Reform has promised to save £45bn a year for tax cuts by 'scrapping' net zero, but the government spends nowhere near that much on decarbonisation

Ultimately, this is just the standard tech bro lament:

That their "vision" justifies the means.

It's no different from Uber, AirBnB etc. saying regulations shouldn't apply to them.

"Disruption" often just means avoiding the rules or exploiting unclosed loopholes that need to be closed.

Christian Nationalists pretend that the United States was founded as a Christian nation, but the Constitution never mentions Jesus or Christianity. Not even once. Instead, it bans government promotion of *any* religion. Don't be fooled by their lying propaganda.

IT IS TIME

The man looked up from his beach chair.

"Really?" He said. "I've only just retired."

Death held up a timer. A single grain was about to fall. And then... It didn't.

CURIOUS

Vetinari shrugged.

Given that we’re a nation of nature lovers, whose conservation charities are among the world's biggest membership organisations, Keir Starmer’s repeated attacks on voters who want to protect the living planet, calling us “time-wasting nimbys”, “blockers” and “zealots”, is frankly idiotic.

We have a chance to improve our relationship + trading terms with the EU, give musicians + young people more freedom and make travel easier…
And Brexiters are howling about betrayal, fish, ‘holding all the cards’ and immigration.
Same lies. Same prejudice. And same failure if we don’t ignore them.
