Writing a book about straight women for PRH Canada. Opinion ed., The Canadian Jewish News, and contributor columnist, The Globe and Mail. Half of Feminine Chaos, host of The Jewish Angle: thecjn.ca/angle
Have confirmed I will need to do author photos. Where does one do this in Toronto, and what dramatic, instantly-regretted thing should I do with my hair ahead of this?

Had gone Poshmark cold turkey mainly for logistical reasons (mail strike followed by moving) but someone was selling a Laura Ashley cotton floral 1990-era TOP and those are near-impossible to find so, here we are.

Genuinely remarkable how often someone posts something rightfully called out as outrageous and I see the name and remember I had blocked them like 15 years ago for similar shenanigans.

To the extent that Jews are being spared from the right-wing campaign to eliminate "DEI," the expectation is that those Jews are not Jewish leftists or anti-Zionists.

"There are Jews and Jews," Alvin Rosenfeld, the founder of Indiana's Jewish studies program, told me.

How turmoil at Indiana University's prestigious Jewish studies program has exposed the tensions plaguing those studying Jews and Judaism.

My book Live to See the Day is off to the printer and available for preorder. I’d love it if you bought a copy or spread the word. It took me around the world — and took seven years to write! Which is fitting for a book about things that might never happen. www.penguinrandomhouse.ca/books/645965...
Live to See the Day by Mark Medley | Penguin Random House Canada
An imaginative study of human nature, Live to See the Day is a globe-trotting exploration of what drives certain people to pursue a dream beyond all logic, reason, or reward.

Ahhhhhh: "The AI boyfriend as feminist alternative to flesh-and-blood man-about-the-house has something in common with political lesbianism. In both scenarios, men are liberated from housework and child care."

Exactly. “Overreach” wasn’t a claim that too many rapists were facing justice. It was about inappropriate or annoying not always even sexual behavior getting conflated with horrors.
This belief that Aziz Ansari and Trump are on the same level of MeToo awfulness and that there was no overreach is the left-wing version of Twitter’s hellish circular convos. Angus Johnson is so fucking weird
Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

ISI is an old-line conservative organization— with a tradition, virtue, and religion orientation, not the fusionist/ libertarian version found in some other student-facing groups.
