the whole thing: systems naturally trend toward certain outcomes, outcomes benefit certain people, and the quadrant of "not naturally trended toward" and "benefits those with less power" requires intention and attention to resolve. the world is sprinting from this sole value, and that's abhorrent.
Very odd that all of a sudden my feed is pet pics and other frivolities? Is this what happens when all the infighting disinfo bots turn off because… the kompromat was released and now there’s no leverage, or something?

I'm not so naive to think clinton/gates/etc don't have their goons rubbing elbows with the media and judicial system to keep their names clean, but if you're a conspiracy theorist with a narrative that they're calling the shots, the [lack of] epstein release is evidence of Greater Goons than theirs.

Lutnick on Epstein:

Devine: So how come these other people could hang around him and not see it?

Lutnick: They participated. That's what his M.O. was, "Get a massage" And what happened in that massage room, I assume is on video. This guy was the greatest blackmailer ever. That's how he had money.

a democratic message I'd get excited about: "donald trump has corruptly enriched himself and his family in amounts upwards of $4B through the public office of president, so we're working to identify what legal frameworks are necessary to take that $4B back as soon as he's out of power".

The thing about a lot of these never Trump Republicans is that, unlike a lot of institutionalist Dems who think the fever will break and we can all return to comity or whatever, these guys saw the rot up close and know the only appropriate response is to tear them out of government root and branch.
If you had told me in 2012 that Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign manager would be posting like this 13 years later i would not have believed you

man all these ill informed dunks on gpt5 has me feeling like we're all about to get steamrolled. it's feels like someone in the 40s noticing integer overflow, and going "you're telling me 'c0mPuTeRz R gud @ math', but look! it thinks 255 + 2 = 1! my job as calculator is S A F E 😂 ! 💯"

I promise I'm not an ezra klein stan but holy shit does he do a good job in this interview: www.nytimes.com/2025/08/01/o...
I think platforming extreme ideologies is not something that should be taken lightly, but ezra absolutely did his homework.

the most significant clarification to my personal ontology comes from a continuous intentional attempt to refine my answer to the question: what is the difference between truth, power, and good?

this reads like a robot rapid-fire malfunctioning spewing all the contradictory facts in its database all at once before exploding. quote tweeting to keep around as a nicely exhaustive reference of all the BS narratives that he's used over the years.
Donald Trump now claims Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden created the Epstein Files and says we should stop asking questions and just trust Pam Bondi. He calls the Epstein documents “Radical Left inspired” and says his DOJ should focus on other things.

"democrats are messageless"- current admin means we lack a coherent backdrop to have a message against. we need people to "just be basically serious adults". how bad do things need to get before electorate is ok moving from "how do we find a sexy candidate" and instead take some wins?

if you want to own that it was an "unauthorized" edit: post the edit! what WAS grok prompted to say, and on what terms? if this was some rogue injection, then it shouldn't be embarrassing when the prompt is shown to have been carefully crafted to get away with racist slime.

this should be a massive story. the willingness of those that control AI to shape it to their own benefit in not-abstract terms. and the only reason we know about it is because AI isn't good enough _yet_ to be subtle, and musk is so detached from reality as to make such a brazen mistake.
Musk's Grok AI chatbot says it 'appears that I was instructed' to talk about 'white genocide'
By Thursday morning, Grok's answer had changed, and the chatbot said it "wasn't programmed to give any answers promoting or endorsing harmful ideologies."
