ICE is about to get access to Medicaid records—a HIPAA violation.

Quick facts:
Undocumented immigrants don’t get full Medicaid. They only qualify for emergency care like childbirth or life-threatening treatment.

States like CA & NY offer limited coverage, but its’s state-funded, not federal.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

...this is gonna sound dumb, but I think Naughty Dog needs to do a Last of Us Part 3 to sort of exist in contrast to what HBO's doing with Last of Us because...I mean...it sucks, man. Shaving down the rough edges to make Ellie more palatable to a TV audience? Toothless, boring.

This article is going to get hideously misunderstood by some. To clarify, this isn't gen-AI.

Giant open worlds like do not happen without some kind of procedural generation. Tech like Speedtree and tools to dynamically place detail and clutter has been part of the basic design tools for ages.
Monolith Soft says using procedural asset generation for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 "reduced man-hours considerably", freeing up time to focus on graphics and gameplay.

The studio says it's impossible to manually maintain games with 100,000+ assets.

Something I hope everyone covers this tomorrow notes is that...the President has no authority whatsoever to make trade deals without congress. None. Not even the pretext of one.
New: Trump is expected to announce on Thursday that the US will strike a trade deal with the UK, according to a person familiar with the matter, the first agreement for the administration since it imposed sweeping tariffs against its trading partners last month @theguardian.com story TK

Occurs to me that this "trade deficit" thing is another example of Trump getting confused by words like "asylum" that have different meanings in different contexts

A full hour slower than I was a couple years ago-- but I'm stunned my hobbled rear-end was able to cover this distance, with like three months of build-up. And, weirdly enough, I'm looking to do better on the next one.

Juan Ferreyra is such a good fit for TMNT. Aaron's run in general has been pretty great so far, but Ferreyra sells the pedal to the metal pace of the issue.

Ultimate Wolverine is brutal. In a good way, mind you. You've gotten to read books about fighting against The Maker's totalitarian experiment, but-- and this is based on the the first issue-- working for it, and it is not kind in any way.

(I kinda love it)

Rolled credits on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle last week, and after noodling on it, this might just be one of my favorite games. Like, ever. It scratches certain itches I have and nails near about everything it sets out to do. And it's a great Indiana Jones story!
