My problem with the civil disobedience demonstration in New York where 11 Democratic officials let themselves be arrested by DHS and ICE is that they very passively cooperated with the system and let themselves be arrested with no crowd presenting no obstruction. They made it easy on DHS employees.

I started working on using multi-agent RL to improve self driving in 2021. I started thinking about it in 2018. We're finally seeing this stuff run on cars in 2025. Research is a pretty long-haul thing.

Um @reed.senate.gov and @whitehouse.senate.gov when does the line get crossed? Is putting a foreign military base on US soils enough?

If ever there was a more blatant admission of being an enemy of the constitution. @reed.senate.gov @whitehouse.senate.gov
Stephen Miller said the quiet part out loud. Trump has “plenary authority,” then suddenly went silent. Their plan wasn’t to be public yet. Clearly, someone hit the panic button in his earpiece.

It gets weirder: CNN uploaded the interview with the “plenary authority” comment edited out.

She is sending the Oregon national Guard back home and is directing the California national guard to leave the State.

I have the solution: Make Tofu Great Again. Maybe if you got more Texans eating tofu we wouldn't have a problem. We could do a campaign around how Tofu is patriotic. Focus on Ben Franklin's obsession with the stuff . . .
Hassett: "China has stopped buying US soybeans. The silos are full and there are soybeans sitting on the ground w/tarps over them. That's unacceptable to POTUS. We're calling up our soybean customers around the world as part of our trade negotiations & we'll strong policies to support our farmers"

The government. CYA since the establishment of the states secrets doctrine in U.S. v Reynolds! Whole lot of norms around presuming folks in agencies ain't just lying through their teeth.

Body-camera video appears to contradict the government’s claim that Marimar Martinez, 30, drove toward officers before one of them opened fire at her late Saturday morning in Brighton Park, her attorney claimed.

The thing that makes me the sickest is that these folks don’t even have a shred of compassion. It’s one thing to enforce laws and rules. It’s another to do it gleefully and celebrate the suffering of someone born into poverty and desperation

The solution to homelessness is not forced institutionalizations.

It’s social supports. Healthcare. Housing. Education. Harm reduction. A universal basic income.

Anyone can become homeless at any time. It’s not a personal failing.

We must fix it together.

Our military is not trained for domestic law enforcement.

It’s illegal and un-American.

Stoke fear. Exploit desperation. Suspend the rule of law. Fan brutality.

Every time the stronger brutalize the weak, it’s fundamentally the same playbook.

Our duty is to stand up to brutality.

Our moral obligation is to protect the vulnerable and hold the powerful accountable.

I was well over 30 when I wrote and published my first novel, and fully agree with you!
When I turned 30 I had not yet written my first published book or my first published novel and did not know (or know of) some of the most important people in my life. I didn't know how much my life could still change, and did, after the age of 30. There is so much your life still yet to live.
Those who are 35+, what advice do you have for people just entering their 30s?
