Looks like longtime contributor (and part of the founding group) Dan Conaway has left the Daily Memphian because they refused to run his opinion piece criticizing Trump amid National Guard deployment in Memphis.
If his account is true, this is appalling from the DM.

Have to say that this piece from David Thorpe on Cedric Coward is pretty incredible. The guy shot 72 percent on twos in 72 college games!! That is absolutely insane. Great length, versatility, plenty of athleticism, good character, I dunno, I get it.

The Bane trade is a phenomenal one for the Grizzlies. Massive pick haul, including a likely lottery pick (via swaps) in 26. Sets them up to either build around Ja/Jaren or to make bigger moves in a larger rebuild. Bane's owed $165mm over 4 years. Huge contract for a 3rd guy; they've cleared that $.

YET AGAIN the Pacers win a game they have no business winning. Crazy mental toughness. 20 first half turnovers against a 68-win team but they still manage to win on the road. What a phenomenal performance.

Pacers should be down by 40. Miracle that it's only 12. Almost everyone on their roster looked scared and sped up wildly.

I remember being told that the temporary NBA Finals court logo was dangerous, players were slipping on it - but something needs to be done to make this game look like an EVENT. The only Finals logo I can see are on the stanchions. Don't like the Finals patches being on the back of the jerseys either

Annoyed with that performance but ultimately Newcastle are in the Champions League; it really doesn't matter how it happened. Best season of my life hands down. A cup? Champions League? Incredible. Eddie Howe, you are an amazing man.

This has been without a doubt the most depressing series I've seen in a long time. Seems like a decade ago the Grizzlies were top 4 in the West. Now they're being humbled mercilessly. They look like a team that knows they're second best in every department. Very little positive to cling to.
