Missouri Mines.

Panorama made from two 120 negatives. My first time using a medium format camera was a great! It’s something new to get used to, strange yet familiar!

Taken on a Mamiya C330 with Ilford HP5+.

A weekend where I’m not out taking photos really feels like a wasted weekend

A first attempt at bird photography! A seagull on the Mississippi River.

Bit of a weird set up. Taken on a Nikon Z6 with an 80-200mm f/4 AI-S lens and using a 2x teleconverter. This shot was probably 400mm f/8.

Going to the St. Louis Art Museumis great cuz you’ll be walking by and see a Van Gogh and not remember seeing it, wonder when we got it, only to find out SLAM has owned it since 1935.

To me the cool thing about this image is that the sprinkling of blue stars are in the foreground, some 5 million light years away, while all those gorgeous colorful swirly galaxies are almost unimaginably more distant, out in the far depths of the cosmos. More info: www.stsci.edu/contents/med...
Oh come ON now. This new JWST image is just ASTOUNDING.

I feel like I’m falling looking into it, and that I would fall forever, and that I would enjoy it.

Watching the national anthem before the big game and cutting to members of the air force “deployed at an unspecified location” is a worrying image.

Remember the eclipse back in April?

Since eclipses are rare I practiced camera settings and timing... then changed travel plans, watched the weather like a hawk, and ended up driving quite a bit. It all worked out. I'm proudest of this image and would love to do projects like this more often.

Spent a week in LA for work, unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the competent public transit system, but I was very impressed by the quantity and frequency of busses I saw while in downtown. A living business district is crazy, I hope one day downtown STL sees a Renaissance
