I wonder if giant megacorps who can afford to purchase access to the president getting tariff exemptions will be good or bad for small businesses 🤔

Re Omegaverse - i think it's so popular right now bc it's touching a lot of things that young fans are interfacing with in the world.

bioessentialism, pregnancy, gendered power and violence, social roles.

This is not to say those things didn't already exist, but they are at the forefront

I was talking to a friend re how triggering this moment is for me as someone who lived through authoritarianism. She asked what we did to resist & it's community solidarity. Showing up, asking after people, mutual aid. That's resistance. (We also revolted but that's another, more complex, story...)

Warren Buffett, "I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election.

If you want to win a trade war, you gotta have something to trade that other side wants. And we're in a trade war with the very people who make all the things WE want.

You're not going to win that.

In high school my teachers demanded we turn in our rough drafts with our finished draft so I would write a paper and then I would spend five minutes making a shittier version of the paper and tell my teacher that was the rough draft
I used to do this while writing and it made things so hard in school. All my teachers wanted Drafts

If you're in congress and you aren't publicly in favor of banning the trading of individual stocks by people in congress, get your head out of your fucking ass.

The great thing about being born is 1980 is that I get to swap my genx card out for a millennial card the moment everyone realizes genx is going to be just as selfish and nasty as the boomers were.

No lawmaker in Congress should be able to own, buy, and sell individual stocks.

We need to ban congressional stock trading—and I've got a bill for that.

Called both Senators to encourage them to vote against the SAVE Act, which is intended to disenfranchise millions of women. Then called my Congresscritter to express how disappointed I was at her voting *for* it.

It really does make one feel better.

Oregonians showed up yesterday to send the powerful message to Trump that we are speaking up and pushing back. There's a long road ahead, but cracks are starting to form in their attack on America. Huge thanks to everyone who showed up to push the pendulum back to a better America.
