Finished first draft of Brighter Than The Moon today. It's a lot shorter than I expected but I can add to it no problem. I'm sure Fox the Stole can get up to more mischief.
Now onto the final edits of The Ruby Queen!

I wrote two chapters of my WIP so I am quite pleased with myself. Did I put an alligator in ballgown. Why yes, yes I did.

A whale caught in crab nets is fighting for her life on the Oregon Coast near Yachats, with so many people rushing there before official help arrives at dawn. The whale is vocalizing distress, asking for help. It's devastating. We have to find a way to stop entanglements. Unconscionable.

I saw Event Horizon in the cinema. Sir Sam Neil has always been a fav even if he was a little naughty in the movie. Forgot how hard the ending kicks. Great use of The Prodigy.

Currently reading The Works Of Vermin by @hironennes.bsky.social and I'm honestly blown away. It's absolutely amazing. Every sentence is poetry. Just a glorious read.

Remember this November and always, Labour , Tories and Reform work for their Lobbyists not the people. Their politics is about the greed of others and profit ,not about public service or protecting our country from corruption and malice. They don't govern in national interest. We must break them.

If you were ever wondering what we're up against, this is a website book banners created to train people to get books banned in their own communities.

I found my kids' school in here, and the books this website suggests I get banned from their library.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

This is what pivoting right to "win" always accomplishes.
”If Keir Starmer had sought to hold the door open for Nigel Farage, he couldn’t have done a better job. He has manufactured disillusionment and alienation on an industrial scale. By adopting Farage-like positions on asylum and immigration, he legitimises Reform while delegitimising Labour.”
We must act now: without a written constitution, Reform UK will have carte blanche to toxify our nation | Goerge Monbiot
It means breaking with hundreds of years of tradition, but it can’t wait. As hard-right figures spread division and laud autocrats, a fail-safe is vital, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

It’s Wolf Awareness Week! 🐺 Once roaming across most of the world, wolves were hunted to near extinction out of fear and myth — not danger. Those fears still linger, and wolves are still killed needlessly today. Speak up for coexistence, respect, and understanding. 🌎💛
