Unreal tournament no longer being a thing hurts.
The multiplayer FPS used to be so vibrant and varied and now it's just this and Fortnite and Counter Strike and a million variations of Deeprock Galactic. It's so profoundly sad.
We lived in a world that had Quake and Unreal Tournament and Tribes and a million other things and now we have... this.

You would think this would have stopped after Kyle Shanahan damn near killed Brock Purdy by letting a backup TE block Haason Reddick and then he cried about not having enough QBs to allow him to continue making that dumb decision.
No more leaving TEs to pass block EDGEs in pass pro.
The only one allowed to is Darnell Washington because he’s already 320 pounds and is basically a tackle

I worked so hard the last 12 years. THAT is a significant milestone for me. I love writing about games. And I’ve done it this long doing it my way. I’ve got more work to do but I’m damn sure going to enjoy seeing my name associated with that.

I will say again, Nostalgia is the Devil's Word when it comes to media, especially games. Like that word barely means what it's supposed to mean at this point and it's damaging our ability to communicate about the history of games.
