No, it's not a photograph!
Here begins the magic of the extraordinary artist Javier Aldarias, who creates oil-on-paper masterpieces, like this painting, which expresses immersion in inner peace.
In an ever-faster world, it's precious to nourish our soul, our spiritual intimacy, immersed in beauty..

The use of naval drones potentially means global reach for many countries. The United States may be able to take out boats with impunity for now, but that situation is rapidly changing. Some naval drones can travel beyond six thousand miles.

If blowing up survivors in the water was the right thing to do because they are “narco-terrorists” (trust us, bro) and deserve no quarter, why did we rescue two other survivors in a different strike, fly them home, and let them go free?

Since I haven’t seen anyone mention this: When the U.S. commits war crimes it puts our troops in danger also, as it gives a green light to other countries that they can do the same to us

70 years ago today, Rosa Parks changed history. Her quiet act of courage sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott, a pivotal part of the Civil Rights Movement. We must honor her bravery by continuing the fight for our democracy and rights.

The worst part about the boat strikes - regardless of who ordered what and besides the ultimate tragedy of lives lost - is they’re forever a stain on the professionalism and dignity of the United States military.

They’re an insult to every American who ever sacrificed to do the right thing.

Energy transitions can happen faster than we think:

In 2000 almost 90% of Denmark's electricity was from fossil fuels.

In 2024 less than 10% of Danish electricity was from fossil fuels.

We went from a country that defended others from being invaded for their natural resources, to a country that is now threatening to invade others for their natural resources.

Remember 6 weeks ago when Admiral Alvin Holsey, head of the U.S. military’s southern command, abruptly decided to retire?
Makes me think at least one top-ranking officer knows what a war crime is.

We are not the only country that has the capacity to close another country’s airspace. We are not the only country in the world that has the capacity to blow up boats in the open sea. If other countries decide to follow suit, disruptions will ensue to air and sea transport.

Unilaterally closing another country’s airspace? We can expect that to be in the playbook of future authoritarian leaders. Instead of limiting war, we are going to new extremes. Prudence used to be a consideration.🤷
