I’ve been thinking about how hard the founding fathers cooked with the Third Amendment.

Imagine being forced to house ICE. I can’t imagine they wash their hands. They’ve never done laundry in their lives. They’d break your stuff if you didn’t cut the crusts off their sandwiches.

Running another rebrand. Turns out I don't feel good about making my main an alt since I can't just remove followers. I'll be making a new account for my more...lascivious pursuits 😈🤭✌🏻

I need to alter this profile so it's more alt than main...

Feels like a good day to re-up this post.
When a tyrant tells you there is a problem with the universities, this is not because they are going to fix the problem. It is a trick. The tyrants are always planning to burn the universities down.

Every time I venture on here I think, "today's the day I figure out bluesky," and then after 5 minutes on the fyp I just...nope!

I don't want to build my fyp brick by brick. I want to build it with the assistance of an algorithm😭

And I need to be able to edit my posts!

Things are bleak, but there’s also good news:

1) Montana refused to ban mRNA vaccines! tinyurl.com/bdftjezm

2) CA is fighting trans healthcare bans! tinyurl.com/yyadcnsv

3) Public outcry scared ‘em off firing parks employees! tinyurl.com/yck9yb7s

Stay loud. Demand more from your local leaders.

"Hip-hop artist and Grammy winner has fun when he should have been working."

Anti-blackness is pervasive everywhere.
Kendrick Lamar, the first rapper to headline the NFL's biggest stage solo, made his Drake diss "Not Like Us" the centerpiece of his Super Bowl halftime set at the expense of a larger statement, our music critic writes.

I've reached a point where I think I'm going to follow @totallydonna.kitrocha.com's new rule and if I see someone discussing/admitting to using GenAI I am just going to block them.

We need to get this train back on the tracks b/c there are so many useful things technology can be doing but NOT THIS.
Saw something this weekend about accepting that authors will write with AI. No. Don’t accept it, don’t forgive them.
I’m seeing a lot of soft takes from industry mutuals at the moment that we shouldn’t be so hard on those who use generative AI because it’s becoming harder and harder to resist.
Wrong. Betraying your ethics (and your peers) because ‘everyone else is doing it’ does not suddenly make it acceptable.

Too many healthcare professionals are invested in medicine as social control rather than public health, and they have zero awareness of the difference or of how their personal investment and professional institutions both perpetuate systemic and individual harm.
I hit this around public health messaging about cancer all the time

Less than half of all cancers are related to “lifestyle” diet, smoking etc.

The rest are genetic, unavoidably environmental or a total crap shoot

“But don’t say that because then people won’t…”

I'm still so scared of this place. Such a different vibe than on threads. It feels like a different planet. What language y'all speaking? How do you say hello?

More details on censorship at the CDC from @alexander-a-tin.bsky.social:

Trump officials at HHS, and acting CDC Director Susan Monarez, refused repeated requests by career health officials to publish the completed research on bird flu in the MMWR, officials say.
