Trump's sentencing today could have a chilling effect on future presidents' ability to use campaign money to bribe porn stars into keeping quiet about the sex you had with them when your wife was home with a baby.

Wall Street’s "complex debt" bonanza hits fastest pace since global financial crisis of 2007

2007 was how greedy Wall St and finance boys wanted EVEN more..

WE all took the cost while the banks carried on....too big to fail

Now what could possibly go wrong a 2nd time?

Jeez Labour...tighten up these horrors....
NEW 🚨 Britain's electoral laws are broken - but successive governments have done nothing

Musk's proposed $100million donation to Nigel Farage shows we are on the cusp of a real crisis for British democracy

But it can be fixed. Here's how, by me

Keir Starmer needs to fix Britain’s broken electoral laws now - if he doesn’t, we will all suffer the consequences

Says a lot that about 90% of the traffic I’m seeing on X right now is absolutely convinced the British govt is about to embark on a mass programme of state murder of the elderly and vulnerable. What was until recently the town square of politics has become the preserve of the bad, mad and deranged.

There's public support for assisted dying so it may have happened sooner or later. But if it happens now I think Kim Leadbeater will be able to claim much personal credit. A less able, sympathetic and effective champion could easily have put off 30 or so wavering MPs. She'll have a place in history.

This is incredible. Asked about the fact that private school kids get extra exam time at a rate 16% higher than state schools, Therese Coffey's response is:

"It's not gaming the system. There's an opportunity there... You don't ask, you don't get."

I had to watch this several times, agog. ~AA

This from the co-owners of GB News says what many have suspected ....GB News is a political project

To be an Ofcom regulated broadcaster the station is specifically not allowed to be politically biased. It can have shows which lean one way or another, but the balance must exist across a schedule.

I love Ian Hislop but it’s worth noting that most of us would balk at the prospect of publicly admonishing a wrongdoer whose conduct you condemn in this way. I did it once to the UKIP/Reform/Brexit twerp Richard Tice but that took exactly zero guts.
This is speaking truth to actual power…
