So, the plan is to cut English, the arts, and sociology - the degrees that actually study culture - while on another part of your platform claiming to “defend” British culture.

It’s performance nationalism with a reading age of seven.

This Thursday, we'll be bringing this lovely show to St Nicholas Priory, in Exeter. And, as ever, it'll be adapted to celebrate local radical history and feature some guest artists from the area. The amazing location is an added bonus. 1/2

Hi all!

You might like to know about this project, if you’re in the Exeter area.

It’s a history of English protest told through folk music, and featuring local guest artists. Celebrate radical English history with a song, a dance, and maybe the start of the revolution!

Dear Angela Raynor, the problem isn’t immigration, we all have a right to flee poverty or persecution. It’s racism, lies, ignorance, cynical politicians, well-organised fascists, an elitist visa system and an inhumane asylum process, compounded by lack of legal routes and decent accommodation.

Well, it's out in the world! It was such a lovely and well-attended launch. After such a huge amount of work from SBTD’s Sustainable Design Working Group and all the other amazing people who contributed, it’s fantastic to see that level of support and interest from our community. 1/3

So, violent racists were threatening asylum seekers in a hotel in Epping, which was my local council growing up, and today they are showing up in Tower Hamlets, where I live. I know my connection to these places is irrelevant, but it does bring home how scarily close and present this danger is.
