There is hardly any fraud in the disability benefits system.

In response to my parliamentary questions, the DWP says just 0.2% of personal independence payment (PIP) spending is due to fraud.

Today I called for an end to the scapegoating of disabled people on benefits.

Hardly worth debunking this xenophobic garbage from Telegraph.

FWIW they seem to to have taken the (implausible) upper bound of @pewresearch.org's old, completely debunked estimate (1.2 m) and then assigning a % of those to London.

And then got London's actual population wrong!

The ramping up of government consumption and investment will mean a growing public
sector workforce .

In a cooling labour market, rising public employment could serve as a welcome shock-absorber.

Just two weeks ago at #PMQs SNP MP Graham Leadbitter asked

"How many more #WASPI women have to die before the Government take action to give them the financial redress and justice that they are due?"

Starmer replied: "We are moving at pace on all relevant issues"

Clear implication help was coming
Intriguing reply from Keir Starmer on SNP question on #WASPI women.

Sounds like some compensation scheme is in train (as recommended by PHSO)

This is a great Supreme Court win for PCS, after a cynical government campaign to kill off the union with a bureacratic change. The Tories unilaterally cancelled payroll deduction for union dues in 2014, giving the union too little notice to find replacement ways to bill members. ...
PCS has today won a stunning victory in the Supreme Court against government departments that withdrew the check-off facility. The victory opens the door for the union to now claim substantial further damages

I welcome the arrest warrants against Israeli PM Netanyahu & his former Defence Minister.

Their barbaric crimes are clear for all to see.

Our Government must commit to enforcing these arrest warrants.

And Governments must now end arms sales and impose sanctions on Israel to stop more war crimes.

The Universal Credit is fundamentally flawed and needs to be reformed. No child should live in poverty in our country. We need an urgent economic reset and a government that will make work pay.
