Our reaction to #Budget2026
Our members will be hit by the extended freeze in the income tax threshold. We welcome the scrapping of the 2-child limit but more must be done on the cost-of-living crisis and on the unfairness of our tax system.

PCS members at the Palace of Westminster on strike on Budget Day. Parliament's own staff have had to strike for their terms and conditions, and for the respect and dignity they deserve. Thanks to all the MPs and trade unions who showed up to show support.

It's freezing ❄️ on the MyCSP picket line in Liverpool this morning and the members are still being frozen out by their employer, refusing to recognise and negotiate with PCS.

The DWP is refusing to back down on its decision to close Lincoln Service Centre.
#PCS members are therefore taking further strike action from 1 December to 2 January 2026.
