She sees your fandom as affirmation, your money as funding for the harm she causes to trans people.

It doesn't matter how you feel about her work, whether it was a formative touchstone or not. If you still buy the merch or hype up Harry Potter, you are complicit.
Hey yall not what I wanted to do on my birthday but let it be clear

"Death of the artist" is all well & good but you cannot Seperate the art from the artist when the artist is still alive, a terf & every penny they recieve reinforces their beliefs & is used to actively harm Trans folks!

When did "cost(s)" become "spend"? And why?

Why? Why spend time on this? Why waste effort on this?

AI & Svelte: Common Issues
One of the biggest challenges when using AI with Svelte is that the syntax for Svelte 5 is quite new, and AI models often confuse it with the older Svelte 4 syntax. We're working to fix this by develo...

It's wildly dumb that 3+ weeks out it's cheaper to fly from Newark to Boston than it is to take a train.

I was recommended two people to follow as "reasonable" AI enthusiasts. One was good! The other mostly just whines about how much everyone hates AI.

So the recommendations were about as accurate as AI in and of itself.

Why does "Is Doug E. Fresh there?" / "No he's not in right now. [click]" give me chills all these years later?

I'm not out here to make life even more difficult for journalists, but if a reporter is covering a group that is targeted by the current administration, tagging people who are in that group to increase reach seems like a bad idea.

The only thing this chart says is that AllSides has no idea how to categorize voices.
Weird how centrists Joe Rogan, Glenn Greenwald and Bari Weiss all solely platform Republican voices, amplify far-right conspiracies and backed Trump in 2024.

Look, here's what you do, you take a kaiser roll (shoutout Calandra's) you split it and you toast it on a small frying pan, medium heat. Roll comes off, crack an egg into the pan. I like using one of those circular form things, but maybe you're more skilled in keeping your fried egg manageable....

An independent country of Washington would have an easier time with this.
Washington just took the reasonable step of not allowing the National Guard of other states to operate here without our agreement. It’s not the Guard personnel we are concerned about, it’s other governors in the Trump cult. katu.com/news/local/g...

One time when I was traveling for work I flew to Hawaii and had not booked a hotel for a week-long engagement.

Bill Bryson's Europe travel book consists of him getting to a new city and looking for lodging, chapter after chapter.

The US government hates foreigners so much.

"[W]e'll fund them ourselves." Secede. Break up the United States. It's not working anymore for anyone.
New Jersey's taxpayer dollars shouldn’t go to funding tax breaks for billionaires. If the federal government is going to keep cutting programs that working people depend on, give us our money back and we'll fund them ourselves.

Hey @aclu.org, could we get a primer on whether we have to answer questions from these thugs when we're on trains/buses/public transit?
A co-worker of mine (who is a judge), traveled by train from Montana to North Dakota for work this week. The train made a stop in Havre, MT, where ICE agents—armed and dressed in full military-style tactical gear—boarded the train.

From now on, every time I see "State should set up an independent..." I'm going to remind you all that breaking up the United States is the best solution.
Dr. Marks was fired for refusing to let RFK Jr have personal read-write permission for VAERS. States should set up an independent CDC and jointly collect vaccine-related data themselves if it is no longer going to be reliable at the federal level. #publichealth
RFK Jr. said that he plans to roll out changes to the vaccine injury monitoring system, VAERS, in order to find negative impacts from vaccines.

He also said he would create a division at CDC to focus on “vaccine injuries.”

So far, he has overseen the firing of approximately 20% of CDC employees.

I broadly agree with those who say that "I mean, duh" is an unnecessary, content-free post, but this mf is testing me.
The failure of libertarians to pick the right side in this has exposed their whole thought system. A principled libertarian attack on limiting government overreach would be welcome at this time. Put no such thing exists. Libertarian just means selfish.
