We can, and should, provide homes for everybody who needs them without destroying nature
This is what many of us have been saying. Part 3 of the Planning & Infrastructure Bill is based on a myth: that we don't have enough homes because wildlife and green spaces are protected. It will solve nothing, and inflict terrible harm on our remaining ecosystems

Good read this, analysing the recent OBR report and making the point that magical thinking on climate change remains deeply irresponsible.

Decision-makers must face climate facts, not fantasies
Warnings on climate risks to UK public finances are stacking up - decision-makers need to focus on the real choices which confront us, not the ones we might like to pretend we have.

📊Up to 3 MILLION 2024 Labour voters could join 2 MILLION existing Green voters to deliver a POLITICAL EARTHQUAKE next election.

This a wake up call to Keir Starmer’s Labour Party. Ignore left wing voters at your peril. That’s why we’re organising 📊

✋Let's stop rewarding South West Water for failure.
🚽It's time to flush this failed experiment with privatisation down the drain.
💩With its disgusting record on sewage spills and eye-watering bills this water company should be front of the queue for nationalisation.

Good work BBC with this explainer on why UK electricity prices are so high compared to our peers. Key reasons:

1️⃣ We're dependent on volatile gas prices

2️⃣ Network costs high: grid expansion far too slow

3️⃣ Costs to deal with polluting fossil fuels are loaded onto electricity prices - nonsensical!
Why are energy bills going up, if there is more green power?
The government has pledged to reduce energy bills by using more renewables, but bills are currently rising.
