Recognizing the devastating impact of Brexit is a good start.

But Labour needs to be more courageous

The Green Party would support immediate membership of the customs union as a step towards full membership of the EU
👏🏽"We must all now confront the reality that the Brexit deal significantly hurt our economy. We have to keep reducing frictions. We have to keep moving towards a closer relationship with the EU. And we have to be grown up about it. To accept that it will require trade-offs."👏🏽

Music to my ears. ~AA

Ending the two-child limit is welcome — but 1 in 10 children will still miss out because the overall benefit cap remains.

We cannot ignore this cap keeps families in poverty while multimillionaires and billionaires escape meaningful taxation.

#COP30: We welcome the commitment to triple international funding for climate adaptation.

But it would be overly generous to call this a success: a global commitment to phase-out fossil fuels is still needed.

An agreement to address the climate emergency that fails to name the main cause of the climate emergency: fossil fuels

If you understand the threat from climate change to our whole civilization, and the need to rapidly remove fossil fuels from our economy, you should be joining The Green Party.
Hugely disappointing, with world now on track to yet more heating & chaos, & poorest hit first & hardest. This process needs radically rethinking - meantime it’s vital that the Brazil-led coalition of the willing urgently delivers on plans to leave fossil fuels in the ground #COP30

It was so uplifting to see how they're flourishing and to hear about their admiration for our country

The government was unprepared and responded ineptly and this may have resulted in 23,000 unnecessary deaths

The plant closure in Mossmorran is just the latest evidence that fossil fuel giants like ExxonMobil can't be relied upon - that's why the government needs to invest in a genuinely just transition to green and renewable energy sources, to protect jobs and the planet.

The govt's proposed new asylum laws are impractical, ineffectual, and outright cruel. Aping the rhetoric of Reform won't fix the real issues in this country; it will only stir up more false divisions and endanger already vulnerable communities.

We can, and should, provide homes for everybody who needs them without destroying nature
This is what many of us have been saying. Part 3 of the Planning & Infrastructure Bill is based on a myth: that we don't have enough homes because wildlife and green spaces are protected. It will solve nothing, and inflict terrible harm on our remaining ecosystems
