This is what is now happening across Europe, courtesy of Trump: Everyone is gravitating towards each other and, in particular, towards the EU.

I hope Starmer gets with the programme.

Good morning Looks as though it will be a damp day Looking at the list of those elevated to Peerages and other honours! We really are in a replay of the days of the fall of the Roman Empire. Looking at those in the Trump admin: the rise of Reform. Some days it is good to be old but for those young 😢

Colonel Susan Meyers of the US Space Force, stationed at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland, was removed from her command after criticizing Vance’s unneeded and costly visit to Greenland. She stated her loyalty to the US and the law and not to politicians so Trump got rid of her.

Restoring trust and credibility to the United States will require not just pushing Trump out of power but putting him and all his cronies in prison.
even if we throw these people out of power the enduring legacy of Trump is that nobody can ever again trust the US government to keep a promise, and that will come back to bite us over and over again

what a shameful thing this is

The government's plans to scrap our rail's duty to be accessible and environmentally responsible must be stopped.

Starmer: I'll only sign US tariffs deal if it suits UK.

It will be a terrible deal. NHS will vanish. Expensive branded drugs instead of generic drugs. Hormone injected beef, chlorinated chicken, becoming the 51st state.

Far better to join the EU.
PM: I'll only sign US tariffs deal if it suits UK

They are his one and only priority. And the fundamental distinction between Donald Trump and Democrats.

The right of assembly has been long fought in Britain. This incident reminds me of the suppression of democratic societies in the 1790s.

Indoor private political meetings have a different history from the policing of outdoor gatherings... 1/n
Met police raiding a Quaker meeting house is a raid on a place of worship.

Arresting 6 women for attending a meeting is a raid on our right to assembly.

The media silence is deafening.

"But natural regeneration is too slow, nature needs us to plant trees to speed things up."

A total myth: very often, natregen is way faster. Either way, the result is FAR superior ecologically. How?

It's doing what trees have done since they first evolved, aeons before we came along. 🌍
I took this photo less than 10 years after the deer fence behind was erected. Before it went up, the land behind was just grass, exactly like the foreground where he sheep are.

*Nothing* was planted here.

"It's not rocket science" is an understatement.

A remarkable statement in a judgment against US government.

Rare to see a government defence described in such stark terms by a judge.

This is judicial comment turned up to 11, so to speak.
This is pretty damning.
