One of the funner moments from my South Africa trip occurred when these two little borbs decided to chase each other on the edge a lagoon.

(They're Black Crakes, btw.)

My least photographed bird is the Henslow’s sparrow, seen in April 2024 and probably never to be seen again, at least not this clearly, for the rest of my birding days #birdoftheday #birds

BIRD REPORT Sitting out back around the fire pit with the wife and a nice single malt and the air is cool and the fire is warm and the stars are bright and the barred owls just started up right on cue. Oh what a gorgeous Halloween night!

This has been your All Hallow’s Eve BIRD REPORT

Hey @bsky.app - we’ve been posting consistently since y’all came online — photos, video & uplifting content. We are grateful for our followers but still have relatively few. What are we doing wrong? Thinking of leaving the app. So @bsky.app @support.bsky.team — & BlueSky users - what do you say?

Last night I watched over 100 pelicans feed just off the coast after sunset. Here's one of them. 17 frames taken from a sequence of 44 over 2.5 seconds. Incredible dinosaurs!!! 🪶

After an hour standing at the side of the dirt road scanning for birds, it was time to go. I packed up and drove the truck to the end of the road and turned around. As I passed back by the pond I glanced over and to my wonderment this creature had materialized! rare bird alert #birds
