The Breckland Farmers Wildlife Network is a farmer-led group. We came together 12 years ago to collaborate on creating a landscape scale wildlife network in the Brecks. We're very proud to now have 58 members and cover over 50,000ha.

Working with this amazing Farmer-led Landscape Recovery collaboration of so many individual farmers with a vision to deliver evidence-based habitats at landscape-scale has been uplifting & gives me optimism for a better future 🌍 #Biodiversity

Human changes to landscape composition, food sources but also landscape configuration (small patches, proximity to plantations, narrow strips) together inflate the abundance + impacts of meso-predators. For some threatened bird species, predator management may be important to recovery.
Human land usage has created a predator friendly landscape, narrow linear grassland margins, narrow linear hedges, have replaced grassland and shrubland in larger patches, the cost of foraging by a predator is reduced.
