Okay, I can't let this one go. I live in Ireland, not the UK, but the use of this image by a supposedly socialist party is so stupid and offensive, I'm going to get stuck in.

Let me explain to you why any experienced illustrator/designer could have stopped you making so many miserable mistakes. 1/

I am very pleased to announce that Phil King/@junkshopper's 'Lush: A Far From Home Movie', is now on YouTube for all to see.
I very much enjoyed appearing with Phil last year at various events, at home abroad, discussing the film with him and the audience.

Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.

I'm doing my Stream of Conscious Mess experimental writing techniques workshop at Todmorden BookFest on Saturday 10am. Time to get the box files and folders out to see what materials I have. I would appear to be well prepared. A lifetime's accumulation of marginilia & miscellany. Do come.

Aged 4 when her father was killed in WWI, the reverberations of his death & her mother’s vast grief traumatised & distressed Mary for the rest of her life

Painting created by Brenda Marshall c.1957 in the art therapy studio at Netherne hospital, Surrey, where she was compelled to live.
A substantial number of her works survive, they explore painful & traumatic family relationships, details of which are sometimes noted on the backs of her paintings
