Huh. You say it like it's a bad thing.
Johnson: "If they had no filibuster, they would pack the SCOTUS. You'd go from 9 to 17 or however many liberals they could pack. You would make DC & Puerto Rico into states, which would give 4 additional Democrat senators & make us a permanent minority. You'd see massive restrictions of 2A rights"

Where is the Dem leader - say, a 2028 prez candidate - who will say, "You know, Donald, a future administration is going to tear down that gilded monstrosity of a ballroom and restore dignity to the People's House... so dont bother building it?"

Antifa is an adjective not an organization. It's a value, not a network of terror cells. If you're opposed to "antifascism," what does that make you?

Marx wrote, "History repeats itself, first as tragedy, then as farce." It's not supposed to happen at the same time, though.

In 2028 the Dem primary candidate who gets my vote will run on expanding SCOTUS - and make no apologies for it.

1/ We have at least 2 justices who are brazenly corrupt, in the pocket of radical-right ideological megadonors, and bend the Constitution any which way to implement Project 2025.

The larger point, about the hoped-for future when MAGA & the Libs *talk to each other (rather than demonize thru their siloed, angry punditry): I'm not sure how we make our point, "You guys believe in a lot of flat-out, dangerous *untruths."
For all the talk about “hard truths” etc that propagate our discourse we really don’t discuss how coddling conspiracy theorists has made things worse for everyone.
40% of Republicans say the COVID-19 vaccine has probably or definitely killed more people than the COVID-19 virus.

Which tech bro from the inauguration dais called Trump, who called Mike Johnson?
This is insane. Republicans have inserted language into the budget reconciliation bill that would ban states from regulating AI in any capacity for 10 years.

Brand new, good quality, but we're not logo people. I've got Sharpies and I'm thinking of defacing these -- Tommy Obama? Toby Barbados? Timmy Bimini?

The new Pope didn't tweet once in 2024. In 2025, he's posted 5 times, in which he:

- Criticized JD Vance's views on Catholicism and Jesus
- Posted an article opposing Trump's immigration policies
- Retweeted twice about the Pope's health
- Retweeted a criticism of Trump & Bukele's laughter at KAG.

Folks! Two nuclear powers right next door to each other. Now more then ever - ever being more than three decades - the international community needs to help these two solve Kashmir.
Breaking: Pakistan shot down two Indian aircraft during the strikes, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif, spokesman for the Pakistani military, tells me on the air just now. He called the Indian attack “a blatant act of war.”

I thought it's been in the political playbook since Carter that a president who asks the American people for sacrifice gets punished by them. Hope it's still true.
It keeps making me really mad that the people saying Americans need to sacrifice are the last ones who intend to sacrifice anything themselves. Anyone who hears them say that needs to interrupt and ask them what they personally are sacrificing to the cause. And not let them wiggle out of answering.

Do you know how much CEO pay has skyrocketed since 1978?

100%? 500%?

Try 1,085%

Meanwhile, the $7.25/hr fed. minimum wage hasn't budged in 15 years and the tipped min. wage has been $2.13/hr since 1991.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.
