The U.S. military strikes on Caribbean “drug boats” under the Trump regime amount to extrajudicial killings with no public evidence — no due process, no verified proof these people were trafficking drugs, just bombs and bodies. At least 80+ dead so far.

This occurred to me the moment I saw the news about idiot pardoning one of the biggest drug kingpins yesterday.

Makes sense because we all know the murders of people on boats is NOT about drugs or doing anything positive for the US. It's just a false narrative to attempt to justify war crimes.
This is a political time to wake up EVERYDAY prepared to Speak Truth to Power!.....

It still really boggles my mind why out of nearly 9 billion people on the planet, there isn't even one strong enough to get this moron removed from office. Not one.

Why do that many people allow ONE MAN to hold them all hostage? (I know, I know...his enablers and "boss" help). Seems so surreal.

This didn't just suddenly happen. We have been going down this rabbit hole for years.

While things certainly weren't perfect when I grew up, there was more of a sense of community. Neighbors were there for one another, which is now pretty rare. The digital movement has had a big impact on society.
If we're being totally honest & take a hard look at ourselves in the mirror as a society, we've been this ugly for a very long time.

A core ingredient to being human is empathy. Many Americans are so selfish, they never think about other people or how their actions, or lack thereof, impact them.

Trump wants Ukraine to give up land to 'end the war'. But this will be in repeat mode until Russia has taken Ukraine over - completely.

Former Finnish PM Sanna Marin put it bluntly: “To end the conflict, Russia must leave Ukrainian territory.”

Just one point. Nothing more to discuss.

After my last post, it would be churlish not to include an additional #BirdOfTheDay on a #Post, namely one of the territorial bluebirds - can't blame them, this post is within 10ft of a nesting box at Gifford Pinchot State Park they were living in with their young. 🦉🐦

The more we see of nationwide results, the more yesterday feels like a referendum on Trump. One that he lost, badly.
NEW: Mississippi Democrats broke the Republican Party's supermajority in the state Senate tonight for the first time since 2011.

It came as Democrats flipped 2 Senate seats and 1 House seat.

“Mississippi just broke the supermajority—and the people have taken back their power,” the party says.

Pundits say the problem is that Democrats fail to represent the people—but the real problem is that our political system fails to represent the people.
The Dems have won the popular vote in presidential elections six times since 1992 by roughly 5.5%(1992), 8.5%,(1996) .5%(2000), 7.3%(2008), 4%(2012), 2%(2016),and 4.5%(2020).
In that period the GOP presidential candidate has won the popular vote twice: 2.5%(2004) and 1.5%(2024).
Douthat writes that 2024, when Harris lost by 1.5% of the popular vote, was "an ideological referendum and progressivism lost." I wonder why he didn't view the 2020 election, when Trump lost by 4.5% of the popular vote, as a far more significant loss for conservatism.
