Amoral media groups like Politico are part of the reason that the US finds itself in this horrible societal and political mess. Treating politics like a fucking baseball game where stripping millions of people of their healthcare can mean being “at the top of his game.” Fucking soulless ghouls.
"Trump is at the top of his game right now," says our Capitol bureau chief and senior Washington columnist Rachael Bade.

I think the Director of the NSA and other top US national security positions should be filled by experienced patriotic professionals, rather than be decided by lunatic conspiracy theorist influencers.

Sorry to get so partisan, but that's how I feel.

Wow who could’ve guessed that this would happen

It’s almost as if USAID was a pillar of American soft power and influence in the world

It’s almost as if it was entirely predictable that America’s adversaries would work to fill the void left by USAID’s destruction

There’s no reason to have a Democratic Party if it won’t go to the mat to save the Department of Education. It’s a fundamental belief that children in America deserve better futures. It’s tremendously simple. You cannot continue funding a government that would close this.

The Department of Education will begin sweeping layoffs tonight with about half of its 4,400 employees expected to be let go, sources tell CNN.

I feel like this is 100% correct and incredibly sad.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

Dumb fucks
DOGE reposted "Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals" data on the web, which very much is used by foreign nationals.
End DOGE’s destruction of our government now.

I think it should be made clear at this point: If you're a federal employee, you should consider your work devices bugged. If you've logged into personal stuff on those devices, you should consider suspending or deleting the accounts you accessed.

The six young men raiding US personnel data for Elon Musk are now among the world’s biggest intelligence targets, yes. They have access to tons of sensitive info, and are in way over their heads.

Safe to say plans to try hacking, bribes, blackmail, honey pots—you name it—are already in the works.
All those kids on Musk's payroll are absolutely being targeted by foreign intelligence now, that is if their boss hasn't already just handed everything over. They'll all have girlfriends named Natasha by the end of the week.

I hate that it's gotten this far, but if countries want to counter a US-imposed trade war, they should make Elon Musk's companies a focus of their retaliation.
Those business interests have effectively merged with the US executive branch, and decision-makers value them more than the American people.

‼️ CDC STI guidelines, Doxypep, PrEP guidelines all seem to be GONE ‼️

I have the STI, HIV, and ACIP ones. Working on seeing if @pidsociety.bsky.social or @idsainfo.bsky.social can host copies of things.

Does anybody have the cdc doxy pep guidelines downloaded on their computer?

Removing the clinical guidance on PrEP which is 99% effective at preventing transmission of HIV is morally reprehensible. Being able to prevent a disease that ripped through our community in the ‘80s and ‘90s with a single pill is a MIRACLE. I’ve never hated someone as much as I hate Donald Trump.

Already obvious, but legacy/corporate media can’t be trusted as they jockey for more access to power and protect monied interests. What sources are y’all turning to.
Side note: I will miss the NYT Cooking section when I cancel my subscription, but they keep soft lighting fascists.
New York Times' Peter Baker: Trump has a simple message, he's in charge.
