When the Roger Rabbit short ROLLER COASTER RABBIT was produced by Disney & Amblin, Spielberg wanted it packaged with ARACHNOPHOBIA. Michael Eisner wanted to release it with DICK TRACY & ultimately won out. Its a shame Spielberg & Disney only made 3 Roger Rabbit shorts because they were immaculate.

“The pace of oppression outstrips our ability to understand it. And that is the real trick of the Imperial thought machine. It's easier to hide behind 40 atrocities than a single incident”

Every day this line feels more and more relevant.

Hey @jeffyorkes.bsky.social any chance you're involved in The Muppet Show revival pilot that was just awarded California tax credits? I hope so. I loved Muppets Mayhem.

Mark Millar has always been a huckster, great at pitching simple ideas and then giving absolutely nothing to the execution. He's a cut-rate Stan Lee, expert at sweatily pumping up his own legend but offering nothing new to the medium of comics.

At the screening last night Tony Gilroy spoke about why a lot of people in creative fields are progressive. I forget his exact phrasing but basically it’s because you have to have empathy in order to make something that speaks to people. Refreshing to hear empathy talked about as a positive.

Mr. Miyazaki sir, I love your movies about how capitalism and the destruction of nature are evil, I made a shitty facsimile of them in a computer that drains reservoirs, do you like it

Man I'm so bummed next week is the last episode of Lower Decks. "Fissure Quest" was such a great episode and setup for the finale. This has become my favorite Trek.
