My only take on this is that the siren song of going viral (this wasn’t the only draft prank call posted on social media) has incentivized people already inclined to do dumb stuff to do dumber, meaner stuff.

The Wizards have since added Jordan Poole to their injury report, listing him as out for Wednesday's game because of his hyperextended right elbow.
Kyshawn George (jaw contusion) and Richaun Holmes (left knee contusion) have been listed as questionable to play Wednesday against the Jazz. Malcolm Brogdon (sprained ankle) and Saddiq Bey (knee recovery) remain out. Jordan Poole is NOT on the injury report and therefore should be available to play.
