“Tesla’s driverless ‘robotaxis’ could launch in Austin as soon as June 22. But a demo in Austin today showed a $TSLA, manually driven to test its Full Self-Driving system, failed to stop for a child-sized dummy at a school bus—and hit it.”

I've been thinking a lot about that bumper sticker which says "everything looks like a conspiracy theory when you don't understand how anything works" and folks it's pretty obvious to me that the people in power right now have absolutely no desire to understand how anything works.

Transatlantic alliance is dying. After decades of infantilization, Europe must recapture its destiny. Expel Hungary from Nato & EU; seize Russia's $200bn in reserves, abolish German debt break, invest heavily in green energy, fully back Zelenskyy. It's either this path or wait for the wolves.

A few minutes ago, @murray.senate.gov said she’s heard Trump wants to slash the federal Department of Energy workforce in half. At DOE, ~14,000 federal employees oversee more than 95,000 contractor employees, a ratio of almost 1:7. Trump’s cuts would throw open the doors to waste, fraud, and delays.

The rush to destroy things like USAID and other agencies before lawsuits can stop them is to make it moot. When our stupidly slow judicial system finally moves to stop them it will be far too late. If all 10,000 USAID employees are home and projects abandoned it’s done. It’s evil.
