i am sorry but I cannot stand for this blatant body shaming of saturn

When I tell you Kit is an absolute purrbaby. Like she purrs so much. But you wouldn't know unless you can feel it because she has the quietest purr. Like you legit can't hear it unless she opens her mouth.

Contest with Alley Cat, who I could hear purring from across a room.

No, like, I get it wacky inflatable flailing tube guy. Me too, buddy, me too.

Two people agreed today that I look and sound like Seth Rogen, and I dunno how I feel about that.

I saw a thing about how people are allowed to make villains unrepentent, sexy, and their protagonists.

I'm curious about what prompted the assertion, which seemed to have a lot of people riled up but only in the "hell yah" sense. Is there some shortage of douche characters in recent fiction?

Recommend the new show Pluribus on Apple+. It's only three episodes in but so far it's really good IMO

Never underestimate a Tom when he is cornered but ALSO it would be great if I could summon these capabilities sans crises.

the trick obviously is to take a man, teach him to fish, let the man with a thousand fish take 1/3 of his fish because they were caught in "his lake" and then tax another third and use that to give subsidies to the man with a thousand fish, and make sure to never tax him ever because what if he left
Give a man a fish and someone with a thousand fishes is going to bitch about people getting free handouts. Teach a man to fish? Yeah, that person with a thousand fishes is going to bitch about that too.

It makes me viscerally angry that people this stupid are able to perpetuate so much evil in the world. Aragorn may have been the side of good given too much credit, but Increasingly it is clear Sauron was too competent an evil for the real world.

"skin as part of brain?"

This is that great intellect people talk about?

The tragic and inescapable problem of wanting to explore other romanceable characters, but there's the one character who draws you like gravity.

My PF2e setting hack features Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, and Beastfolk. Wild, I know!

But in all seriousness, the whole project started as an exercise in deconstructing the tropes of the above and trying to reconstruct something interesting.

What's your usual favorite among those five options?

Did not expect Predator Badlands to be both funny and heartwarming, but here we are. Loved it.

Thomas Parrott, the man who dares to ask the tough questions. Like "how much would a starfighter cost anyway" and "did the different cradles of civilization all invent swords independently"

Oh, okay, so other wearing pimple patches is "normal" and "okay", but I craft myself a full face black mask and haunt the forbidding tunnels underlying an opera house and suddenly I'm the weird one

Querying is always purported to be this grand meritocratic threshold -- if you're good enough, someone will rep you! -- and certainly it is true I have learned a lot about writing since my last time on the query-go-round.

But mostly it filters me by feeling like a humiliation ritual.

Just tossing this out there...any publishers interested in a collection of Manly Wade Wellman inspired stories about a South Carolina ghostbreaker? Got haints, witches and devils of all stripes. Written by me, obviously, over the course of the last twenty years or so.

🗣️THERE ARE NOOO CATS IN AMERICA AND THE STREETS ARE MADE OF CHEEEEESE🗣️
It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life

One of my fuck about projects lately has been taking the AD&D module Temple of Elemental Evil, and wholesale adapt it to the cosmology, geography, and politics of the current PF2e remaster state of Golarion.

Will I ever use it?

Prolly not. 🤷‍♂️

I need to just... stop trying to be friends with people who clearly don't want to be friends with me. Come on Tom! Listen to the silence. Absorb the context cues.

People are complaining about the power scaling of IT and I just kind of hate everything right now.

A friend was subject--treated to an in-depth discussion of politics in the Weapons Tight™ setting yesterday, and at the end she was like '...have you considered doing more with this? Other games too, maybe?'

I acknowledged I may have overdone it as an excuse for playing starfighter pilot.
