i feel like it is worth saying that a democratic house majority would help backstop any attempt to sabotage certification of the election in the event that harris wins.

The graph is garbage, but to me the interesting thing is that I’m old enough to remember when leftists who focused on relative incomes were accused by the right of “the politics of envy”
White men w/o college degrees have “fallen behind” because women with college degrees now out earn them. The framing here is something.

“why is the election a coin flip”

every single presidential election since 2000 — basically other than 2008 — has been essentially a coin flip in the polls. if you ignore ‘08, the last time the outcome was essentially known in advance was in *1996*

Yeah, so this is… this is just exactly what a bunch of us have been telling you.

Racism & ableism in training data. Eugenicist assumptions in the foundational research questions. Failures to acknowledge or account for the prevalence of the bigotries enacted by people's behaviour.

And here we are:
Google, Microsoft, and Perplexity Are Promoting Scientific Racism in Search Results
The web’s biggest AI-powered search engines are featuring the widely debunked idea that white people are genetically superior to other races.

if trump loses i think the biggest tactical blunder the campaign will have made is going all-in on anti-trans messaging.
Trump Goes All In on Anti-Trans
It’s not clear if the ads will help Trump, hurt Harris—or just scapegoat trans people.

i see some of you are trying to parse early vote data into something that will tell you what the final outcome will be & are dooming as a result

let me remind everyone, again, that the early vote cannot tell you anything supposed EV gurus are flying blind too, given big changes in voting behavior

literally the only time trump has been asked a question about his actual management of the country during his term was by a voter at the univision forum. the press is completely disinterested.
"the Trump administration was good times before the current bad times" is a consciously undertaken propaganda campaign that the media started waging while Trump was still President. Even stories about his scandals invariably included to-be-sure paragraphs praising his "booming economy"
I don’t have any memory of the Trump administration being a good time. And I think I have a pretty detailed memory from the inauguration crowd photos freak out and the travel bans all the way through the pandemic and January 6th.
